EVENT DETAILS
Shop and Share, started in 2008 by First Lady Jane Beshear, is a one-day goods drive that benefits Kentucky’s 15 domestic violence shelters. Shop and Share continues under the sponsorship of current First Lady, Britainy Beshear.

On Shop and Share Day, volunteers at Kroger stores provide shoppers with a list of items needed at the shelters – such as non-perishable foods, school supplies, hygiene products and cleaning supplies. Shoppers can then purchase and directly donate the items in the stores (they are also able to make monetary donations).

Since its beginning in 2008, Shop and Share has raised more than $5.2 million in goods and monetary donations for shelters.

Donations collected in Jefferson, Bullitt, Oldham, and Shelby Counties benefit The Center for Women and Families.
