Registration Information

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS A LITTLE LONGER THAN IN PREVIOUS YEARS, BUT IT CONTAINS SOME SIGNIFICANT CHANGES AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, SO PLEASE READ ALL OF THE SECTIONS BELOW VERY CAREFULLY AS YOU MAKE YOUR REGISTRATION DECISIONS.

Please select the appropriate registration types below.

There is not a separate registration category or fee for "Guests", nor do you even have to be a member of MSTA to participate. All attendees/participants (Members, Members of Household, and non-members) must complete the same registration form and pay the same registration fee. The only exception to this is Life, Senior Life, and Sustaining members and their spouses, who receive a 10% discount on their registration fee. As always, your registration includes your meal at the closing banquet on Wednesday night.

NOTE: Vouchers that have been received as a result of joining or renewing your membership are only good for MSTA regional events, as stated on the face of the voucher. They can NOT be used for STAR registration.

You can register more than one person at a time (Member, Member of Household, or Non-Member). If your companion is not a member of MSTA, be sure to answer "No" to the question about MSTA membership on their registration. Remember, MSTA membership is NOT required to attend STAR!

Instructions regarding how to actually book your room and get the MSTA rate will be provided in your confirmation email. Nightly room rates at the Genetti Hotel are as follows (not including taxes) and are good for the nights of October 2-8. These rates include a hot buffet breakfast, and Best Western Points are eligible:

As mentioned above, the registration types are the same as our last event (STAR 2024 in Kerrville, TX). Anyone (member of the MSTA, spouse, significant other, non-member, whatever) may attend STAR. Member of Household is the same as a Member, so there is not a distinction with regard to STAR registration. If the main registrant is a Life, Senior Life, or Sustaining Member, the Member of that Household is also considered a Life, Senior Life, or Sustaining member.

Dates to Remember!

Please note these important cut-off dates for STAR 2025:

July 31, 2025 - Last day to take advantage of "early bird" registration. After that this discount will no longer apply.

August 31, 2025 - Postmark deadline for raffle tickets ordered via mail.
September 15, 2025 - Last day for online registrations & purchases of other items (tickets, shirts, hats, etc.). After that you will only be able to register & make purchases onsite at STAR.
September 30, 2025 - Last day to cancel STAR registrations and get a refund (minus any raffle tickets purchased).

Hotel and Parking Information

The Genetti Hotel, located in the heart of Downtown Williamsport, is known for historic charm and offering attractively decorated and traditionally styled guest rooms and suites, all uniquely individualized. They claim to have the best free hot breakfact buffet in Williamsport, served daily 7-10 AM, featuring 10 hot entree items in addition to cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, breakfast breads, juices, and coffee.

The cocktail lounge and "Windows on 4th" (restaurant) are open 7 days a week for breakfast and Tuesday thru Saturday from 4-11 pm. Service is until 10pm.

An outdoor grill area is available for guest use, which makes a great place to mingle outside.

When you're not riding, check out the downtown dining and shopping district, the Lycoming County Visitor center, Millionaire's Row Historic District, Little League International Headquarters and Museum, and the Hiawatha Paddlewheeler.

PARKING: There is very limited on-street parking available. The Genetti lot is accessed from William Street, just north of the Lobby entrance. Pull up to the entrance gate and press the intercom button for admittance. After you've checked in your room card key will open the gate. The Genetti lot has limited parking space suitable for trailers, so if you have a trailer, be aware that you may be asked to park it in an alternative location.

Lunch Ride

While the closing banquet on Wednesday evening is included in your cost of registration, the purchase of a separate ticket ($20) is required for the lunch ride meal on Tueseday. You can purchase this as part of your online registration, and a limited number will be available for sale on-site.

IMPORTANT NOTE! In Kerrville last year, a large number of people didn't purchase lunch ride tickets as part of their online registrations and waited until they were at the rally. As a result, the caterer didn't have enough food and many folks were unable to get a meal. Their tickets were refunded, but this is NOT how we want to operate so we're instituting some changes to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Everyone who purchases a lunch ride ticket as part of their online registration is guaranteed a meal. When online registration closes (on September 15) we will add 25% to that number for the total count to be given to the caterer. For example, if 100 people purchase lunch tickets online, we will give the caterer a hard count of 125. Once those extra tickets are sold at the rally we will not sell any more!

This year's lunch will be on Tuesday the 7th at Mountain Top & Provisions, located at 17333 Coudersport Pike, Lock Haven, PA 17745. The lunch will include a beef brisket BBQ sandwich with mac & cheese, a cookie, and ice tea. and will be served from 11 AM to 1:30 PM. A vegan/vegetarian option will also be made available but the menu for that has yet to be finalized.

Closing Banquet

The closing banquet will be on Wednesday night the 8th and, as indicated above, the meal is included in your registration.

For those with special dietary preferences, we will be working with the hotel to offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options for the banquet. This choice can be made as part of your registration, and we encourage you to do so if you have such a need. If you wait until the time of the banquet to request a special meal we will do what we can, but we cannot guarantee the hotel will be able to accommodate your request at the last minute.

Door Prizes

We are hoping to have many door prizes at STAR, which will be awarded by drawing wrist band numbers and posting the winners on an easel in the lobby. To win a door prize you must be registered for STAR and be present at the banquet. The numbered wrist bands will be provided when you check in for the rally.

Raffle Tickets

The 2025 MSTA raffle drawing will be held at the closing banquet as well, and this year you have the opportunity to win a 2024 Honda Transalp 750! Be aware that raffle tickets are priced a little differently this year. If you buy them online as part of your registration (by September 15!), they are available in 5-ticket lots for $40 per lot. Individual tickets will still be sold but can only be purchased for $10 per ticket. After September 15 raffle tickets will only be available onsite at STAR for $10 per ticket.

As always, to be eligible to win the raffle you must be a member in good standing of MSTA, but you do NOT have to be present at STAR.

Raffle tickets may be purchased in the "Additional Items" section on the next page (along with lunch tickets, hats, T-shirts, etc.) if you want to use this option rather than having to go to a separate web page.

If you don't want to register and just want to buy raffle tickets, click this link, which can be used any time through September 15, 2025. As mentioned above, after that date raffle tickets will only be available at STAR for $10 per ticket.

NOTE: All raffle ticket purchases are non-refundable, regardless of how, when, or where they're purchased. So even if you cancel your STAR registration early enough to receive a refund (by September 30!), your refund will include all registration fees and additional items you bought MINUS any raffle ticket purchases.

The raffle winner is responsible for all applicable local, state, and federal taxes and fees. The bike will be on display at STAR, and it is the winner's responsibility to make arrangements for getting it home.

And last but not least, this year the club is offering a couple of additional items unique to STAR 2025:

Considering that an October rally in Pennsylvania might be a little cool, the club is also offering sweatshirts. They'll be dark blue with the STAR 2025 logo, and can be purchased on the same page as your standard short and long-sleeved T-shirts.
You can also purchase 3'x5' MSTA banners suitable for mounting in your garage, shop, etc. These are not simply the MSTA logo on a white plastic background. Rather, they are made from 13 oz. premium scrim glossy vinyl and hemmed on all four sides with eyelets in each corner. They are $50 each, and here is a preview of what they look like:
