Thank you!

Thank you for connecting your students with Women Can Do! We are excited for this conference to be back in person and look forward to seeing you all at Vermont State University - Randolph (formerly Vermont Tech) in October.

Women Can Do is a day for students to explore a range of careers and skillsets, especially those that are non-traditional for women, in a safe, fun, and empowering environment. We encourage youth to step outside their comfort zones to try new activities, introduce themselves to industry professionals, and expand their sense of what's possible. Women Can Do is designed for students who identify as female regardless of assignment at birth, and youth who are non-binary or gender expansive who are comfortable in a girl-centered space.

Student registration is capped at 400 students. You can register as many students as you have interested - there are no registration waves this year. However, each student registered must submit a permission slip by September 22, 2023 to attend.

Student Fees: The fee structure reflects our effort to increase conference accessibility for schools with higher concentrations of economically disadvantaged students. We are using free and reduced school meal enrollment as a measure of low versus high-income schools. The 22-23 school meal data report from AOE is viewable
here
(right click to open in a new window). If your school has >50% enrollment in free and reduced meals, we suggest the low-income fee category. If your school is <50%, we suggest the high-income fee category. Please self-select using the honor system. Student registration fees include lunch.

Chaperones:
Due to space limitations, we request no more than 1 Chaperone attends per 5 students, unless any student needs 1:1 support. Chaperone fee is $5 and includes lunch.

Permission Slips: ALL students MUST complete and return the Parent/Guardian Permission Slip to attend Women Can Do. No exceptions. You can register students on this form before they have returned the Permission Slip. Download the Permission Slip here (Right click to open in new window). Please scan and return all completed permission slips to womencando@vtworksforwomen.org by September 22, 2023.

Masks are encouraged for conference attendees who are not vaccinated.
