Camp Information

Rosie’s Girls®, a program of Vermont Works for Women (VWW), is a one-week STEAM, trades, and career exploration camp for middle school girls* entering grades 6-8. HatchSpace is a community woodworking shop in downtown Brattleboro, Vermont.

This summer, HatchSpace is partnering with VWW to offer a carpentry-focused Rosie’s Girls camp. In addition to this technical experience, campers will build their social-emotional skillsets through the Rosie's Girls "Power Skills" curriculum, inspiring youth to build confidence, develop connections with each other, and dream big about their futures.

*Rosie’s Girls welcomes anyone who identifies as a girl regardless of assignment at birth, as well as youth who are non-binary or gender expansive who are comfortable in a girl-centered space.

We are looking forward to seeing your campers at Rosie's Girls this summer!

Please note the following details about this year's HatchSpace camps:
  • Camps will be 1 week-long, full day from 8:30am-4:00pm
  • Camp will include snack and lunch time. Lunch will not be provided.
  • Campers should be prepared with sun protection and water for any outdoor activities. Projects will use various tools, lumber and other carpentry supplies. As such, closed toe shoes and pants (leggings are not allowed) are required. A change of clothes can be kept at camp if campers would like to wear shorts during games & activities. If your camper needs assistance with these supplies, please let us know.
  • Masks are not required. Please do not send your camper to camp if they are sick or experiencing any symptoms of illness.
  • Cell phones and devices will not be used by campers during the day. If you need to reach your camper or they need to reach you, a HatchSpace phone will be available and the number will be shared with families ahead of camp.
