Pittsburgh, Virginia: A Town in Two Places at Once

at the Depreciation Lands Museum Deacon's Tavern

 
Come and learn about how Pittsburgh and much of the southwestern corner of Pennsylvania was caught between Virginia and Pennsylvania jurisdictions during the Revolutionary War era, causing problems for both settlers and colonial authorities alike, and how the final stretch of the Mason-Dixon Line was finally drawn.
