Understanding Relationships, Personal Safety & Boundaries for Autistic Children & Youth Virtual 1-hour POPARD Family School Liaison Workshop

For most autistic children and youth, understanding relationships, personal safety and boundaries can be challenging; therefore, direct teaching and support is required. Parents can support their children with building skills in these areas through various means at home and through community programming. This session will provide:
Information about the different types of relationships over the lifespan, and discuss the social rules related to them.
An introduction and strategies to support children/youth with understanding personal safety and boundaries.
Examples of programs, community supports and resources.

Audience: This training is primarily intended for parents and families of students who are on the Autism spectrum, however educators and other professionals may attend
