Introducing Our First-Ever 1st & 2nd Grade Girls Division
Buzzardball is proud to introduce a Girls Division for 1st & 2nd graders—an exciting new addition to our Winter League! This division will provide young athletes with a fun, supportive environment to develop their basketball skills, build confidence, make new friends, and enjoy the game.
* All games will be played at Sport Courts Fitness. Join us as we celebrate this exciting new chapter in Buzzardball history!
2nd Grade Boys Now Have a Gold & Silver Division Option For the first time, 2nd Grade Boys will be able to choose between the Gold (Competitive) and Silver (Recreational) Divisions. Gold Division Features:
🏀 Games played on 9-foot baskets
🏀 3rd–8th Grade game rules to help players prepare for the next level
🏀 Certified officials from Hawkins Officiating
🏀 No score will be kept, allowing players to compete in a positive, low-pressure environment while focusing on skill development and learning the game
The Gold Division is designed for players ready for an extra challenge and serves as the perfect transition to Buzzardball's 34-NBA Division.
3rd–8th Grade Team Rosters Capped at Nine Players
To provide more playing time, increased player development, and greater opportunities on the court, 3rd–8th Grade teams will now have a recommended roster limit of nine (9) players.
Recommended roster size: 9 players
Coaches may still choose to carry up to 10 players if they prefer.
Kindergarten–2nd Grade teams will continue with 10-player rosters this season.
This exciting change is designed to give every player more opportunities to contribute, develop their skills, and enjoy an even better game-day experience.
