Hybrid - In person and online via Zoom
September 19 - 22, 2024

Welcome to Registration for the
46th Annual Meeting of the
Society for Descriptive Psychology!

(Note: To register, scroll to the bottom of the page, make your choices, and then click the "Continue" button).

This year we are pleased to present the 2024 Annual Conference for the Society for Descriptive Psychology in a hybrid format, both in-person and online via Zoom.

We look forward to sharing our presentations with any interested academician, clinician or student, whether a familiar face from previous meetings or someone who is only now discovering Descriptive Psychology (DP).

The Conference planning committee endeavored to follow the Conference's established scheduling of presentations and events as closely as possible. However, for those joining remotely, Zoom will require some new social practices and procedures, including administrative procedures for awarding CE. We will provide detailed information about these practices prior to the start of the Conference.

You can download a copy of the Conference Program by going directly to the Society website, http://www.sdp.org, and then clicking on the main page's conference link. The Program provides details about presentation topics and times (all Mountain Daylight Time).

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

The deadline for Conference registration is end of day, September 18, 2024. (Please Note: as described below, the deadline to register for the Banquet is earlier, September 13, 2024, so if you plan to attend the Banquet, you must register for both the Conference and the Banquet by the earlier date).

As usual, register for the entire event, attending as few or as many of the presentations as is permitted by your schedule, beginning with the Thursday evening Presidential Address.

This year, there will be a registration fee, for both in-person and Zoom participation, as follows.

                                 Society non-member:          $150
                                 Society member:                  $125
                                 Student:                                $  65

This year, in order to support the availability of Descriptive Psychology concepts and applications to as many people as possible, we are offering a special one Conference session rate of $65, exclusively for non-members, including the option to request CE for the presentations included in the chosen session.

                                         One-session non-member
rate, with or without CE:   $  65

At the bottom of this page, choose the registration fee that pertains to you.

If you choose the special one-session, non-member rate, on the next registration page ("Questions") you will be asked to indicate the session you plan to attend.

Please note: The student rate (i.e., for the entire conference) is for persons who are currently enrolled at least 1/2 time in a degree granting program, regardless of content or specialization. However, student registration does not include CE. If you are a student requiring CE, please register at the Member or Non-member rate.

Our belief is that the Conference fees are very modest.
They simply cover the Society's costs for organizing the conference, including conference room rental and the cost to the Society for sponsoring CE through the University of Denver. Our continuing hope is that conference fees will not deter people from attending the conference, and that we will continue to broaden the number and range of people who learn about and apply Descriptive Psychology.

There is no discount for Zoom participation and no discount for those who do not register for CE.

CONTINUING EDUCATION DETAILS

Our application for Continuing Education has been approved by the University of Denver (DU), the APA CE sponsoring organization. For those attending the conference, whether in-person or by Zoom, 9.5 CE will be offered, for those who request them.

Please be advised that in addition to all the conference presentations, there a Society Business Meeting scheduled for Saturday afternoon, 9/21, for members only, as indicated on the Conference Program

BANQUET

This year, the Society has also organized a convivial banquet, buffet style, to be held at the Aperitivo restaurant on Saturday evening, September 21, 2024. The banquet fee of $55 per person is not included in the conference fee. Attendance at the banquet can be included for an additional $55 per person.

If you wish to attend the banquet, you must register for it using one of the registration choices at the bottom of the page that pertains to you (i.e., register by clicking on one of the options that includes the banquet).

The buffet dinner menu offered by the restaurant is designed to meet most dietary restrictions and preferences (e.g., gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan). If you have special needs or constraints, and would like to request a specific accomodation, please use this email link to contact the conference manager,  Tricia Kennedy.

Please note: because of constraints imposed on us by the restaurant, the deadline for any of the banquet registration options is, September 13, 2024 (a bit earlier than for the conference). If you are registering for the conference after that date, you will not be offered the option of registering for the banquet.

PAYMENTS

All payments are made through the Society's PayPal account, to which you will be directed by a link during the registration sequence. You do not need a PayPal account to register. PayPal will allow you to use a credit card.

If you are new to DP or our Society, we welcome you and look forward to productive interactions during and after the Conference.

If you encounter any difficulties with registration, or have other questions about the conference format or operation, please use this email link to contact Tricia Kennedy.

The Society for Descriptive Psychology is a non-profit organization registered in Colorado.  Should you wish to express appreciation for the value of the information in the presentations or for the CE, please consider making a contribution to our student scholarship fund (offsetting expenses for students and early professionals to present at conferences) by clicking on the PayPal link on our website (www.sdp.org), or by contributing to any non-profit organization serving mental health or community service initiatives that improve the general welfare of people.
