Sexual Health Education and Online Safety Virtual 1-hour POPARD Family School Liaison Workshop

Sexual health education in BC schools aims to equip students with the information, motivation, and behavioural skills needed to enhance sexual health and avoid negative sexual health outcomes. In our digital world, online safety is also imperative to learn about. This session will include:
Sexual health information and statistics for school-aged children and youth in BC
Considerations for teaching autistic youth, along with recommendations for aligning educational approaches between home and school.
Resources to support sexual health education of autistic youth.
Research on internet/online use for youth, including resources and guidance for creating a safe experience
About this Workshop:

Audience: This training is primarily intended for parents and families of students who are on the Autism spectrum, however educators and other professionals may attend
This FREE 1-hour workshop will include 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes of Q&A
