Academic Supports & Accommodations Virtual 1-hour POPARD Family School Liaison Workshop

Educational accommodations and supports are designed to minimize obstacles for learning or participating in the educational environment. The accommodations and supports a student receives will depend on their needs and the goals set in their Individual Education Plan. This session will include:
An overview of rights and responsibilities for providing accommodations to students in BC.
How parents/caregivers can effectively collaborate with school teams to ensure accommodations are put in place.
Common accommodations and supports for students on the autism spectrum in schools.

Audience: This training is primarily intended for parents and families of students who are on the Autism spectrum, however educators and other professionals may attend
This FREE 1-hour workshop will include 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes of Q&A
