Past President of the Rotary Club of Berri Peter Jarvis, has been involved with fundraising for ShelterBox over a number of years and became District 9510’s ShelterBox Representative in 2021. He is married to Lisanne and has a grown-up daughter. He has been an Area Permanent Relief Teacher for around 20 years. Peter was ShelterBox Australia’s 2023 volunteer fundraiser of the year.
 
ShelterBox works with disaster-hit families around the world, offering emergency shelter and other essential items to support them in rebuilding their lives. ShelterBox began in 2000 as a Rotary Club millennium project. With the support of Rotary members and clubs around the world, it is now an independent organisation and has assisted 2 million+ people across 98 different countries.
 
Peter will talk about their aid inventory and his local work to raise awareness of this Rotary International project partner and is looking forward to sharing ShelterBox’s work at our meeting on Thursday.
