Promoting Family-School Engagement
Families and school teams work together in a variety of ways throughout the year. Research shows that promoting family-school engagement leads to increased trust and collaboration, as well as improved student achievement and development. This session will:
Briefly review research and the new “family-school engagement playbook” to highlight important themes
Provide strategies to enhance collaboration and communication between family and school
Discuss connections between the roles, rights and responsibilities of teaching staff, administrators, and parents.
Review how to work towards solutions in times of conflict or differences

Audience: This training is primarily intended for parents and families of students who are on the Autism spectrum, however educators and other professionals may attend
This FREE 1-hour workshop will include 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes of Q&A
