Preparing Families & Children/Youth with ASD for Summer Break
With school being out soon, parents and families must plan for 2 months of summer break. This can be a time of fun and family activities, but it can also increase stress for caregivers and children/youth with ASD. This session will:
Review common challenges for children/youth with transitions
Provide preparation strategies and tips that can support the adjustment to summer break
Offer resources that can be helpful for families to utilize in the home and seek out in the community
