Supporting the Transition to Kindergarten for Families & Children with ASD
The transition to kindergarten is a significant milestone for children and their families. However, we know that transitions can be challenging for children with ASD, and the shift from intensive early intervention services to school aged services can be difficult for parents as well. This session will:
Help prepare families by reviewing best practices for a successful school transition
Assist families to develop an understanding of school-based planning for transition
Provide information on IEP development and how parents can be active participants in the process
Provide resources to support this critical period for children and families

Audience: This training is primarily intended for parents and families of students who are on the Autism spectrum, however educators and other professionals may attend
This FREE 1-hour workshop will include 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes of Q&A
