Driving and ASD: A Balance of Safety and Independence Virtual 1-hour POPARD Family School Liaison Workshop

Many families wonder if their autistic youth could move forward with getting their driver’s license in BC. There are clear guidelines for individuals with disabilities to obtain a driver’s license, and many get through the process successfully. This session will discuss:
Research on ASD and driving.
The balance of safety and independence.
The BC guidelines for obtaining a driver’s license for people with disabilities.
Supports and resources that could be helpful in this process.

Audience: This training is primarily intended for parents and families of students who are on the Autism spectrum, however educators and other professionals may attend
This FREE 1-hour workshop will include 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes of Q&A
