Healthy Tech & Sleep Hygiene for Children
Virtual 1-hour POPARD Family School Liaison Workshop
Jan 29, 2026 (12:00-1:00pm)(PST)

Research shows that two-thirds of children with autism experience ongoing sleep difficulties, but we know that sleep hygiene, like other daily self-care skills, can be taught and strengthened over time. This session will review the evidence-based sleep education, environmental and behavioral strategies can make a meaningful difference. Moreover, screen use has increased significantly, yet general screen-time guidelines do not reflect the unique needs of autistic children and youth. This session will also cover practical strategies to support healthy sleep habits, balanced technology use, positive social interaction, and responsible digital citizenship.
