30th Annual Update in Cardiology


 
 
This innovative symposium will examine practices in the management of diseases of the heart and circulatory system. Directed by both primary care physicians and specialists in cardiac care, nationally recognized faculty will address controversial issues, sustained paradigms, and practical issues across the broad spectrum of cardiology.

Target audience
 
This symposium will provide physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and other health care professionals with current data regarding management and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

 
Learner objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to:
 
  1. Receive a national cardiovascular update, learn structural heart advances, valuable tools to prevent risks of bleeding with stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation, and illustrate robotic PCI.
  2. Learn cardiovascular risk reduction in diabetes, the meaning of "benign" atrial fibrillation, treatment for heart failure with preserved Ejection Fraction, and report out from BP pilot project.
  3. Evaluate primary preventions including statins, aspirin and assess cardiovascular effects of marijuana.
