Promoting Functional Skills in the Home Environment
Virtual 1-hour POPARD Family School Liaison Workshop
February 14, 2023 (3:30-4:30pm)

Children and youth with ASD may have difficulties learning functional skills, however it is important that they develop these skills over time to achieve greater independence. This session will:
  • Help parents and families develop a better understanding of the wide array of functional skills
  • Provide strategies to support teaching these skills in the home environment
  • Discuss resources that can further promote functional skills learning
About this Workshop:
  • Presented via Zoom (the Zoom link will be in your confirmation email - if you don't see a confirmation email, check your junk/spam folder)
  • Audience: This training is primarily intended for parents and families of students who are on the Autism spectrum, however educators and other professionals may attend
  • This FREE 1-hour workshop will include 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes of Q&A
