Understanding the School System & Working Towards Collaboration
Virtual 1-hour POPARD Family School Liaison Workshop
December 14, 2022 (3:30-4:30pm) 

Families have the opportunity to work with their child’s school team in a variety of ways throughout the school year. This session will review:
  • Connections between the roles, rights and responsibilities of teaching staff, administrators, and parents.
  • Relevant policies and procedures that guide programming and support in the school environment.
  • Benefits of effective home-school collaboration and how to work towards solutions
  • Information on advocacy steps and support.
About this Workshop:
  • Presented via Zoom (the Zoom link will be in your confirmation email - if you don't see a confirmation email, check your junk/spam folder)
  • Audience: This training is primarily intended for parents and families of students who are on the Autism spectrum, however educators and other professionals may attend
  • This FREE 1-hour workshop will include 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes of Q&A
