Sexual Health Education: Considerations for Autistic Students Virtual 1-hour POPARD Family School Liaison Workshop

Sexual health education in BC schools aims to equip students with the information, motivation, and behavioural skills needed to enhance sexual health and avoid negative sexual health outcomes. All individuals have the right to learn all they can to enable them to become sexually healthy persons and collaboration between educators and families is key. This session will include:
Sexual health information and statistics for school-aged children and youth in BC
Considerations for teaching autistic youth, along with recommendations for aligning educational approaches between home and school
Resources to support sexual health education of autistic youth
About this Workshop:

Audience: This training is primarily intended for parents and families of students who are on the Autism spectrum, however educators and other professionals may attend
This FREE 1-hour workshop will include 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes of Q&A
