Understanding the School System & How Families Can Collaborate Effectively
Families have the opportunity to work with their child’s school team in a variety of ways throughout the school year. This session will review:
Connections between the roles, rights and responsibilities of teaching staff, administrators, and parents
Relevant policies and procedures that guide programming and support in the school environment
Benefits of effective home-school collaboration and how to work towards solutions
Information on advocacy steps and supports

Audience: This training is primarily intended for parents and families of students who are on the Autism spectrum, however educators and other professionals may attend
This FREE 1-hour workshop will include 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes of Q&A
