Registration Information

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE SECTIONS BELOW VERY CAREFULLY AS YOU MAKE YOUR REGISTRATION DECISIONS.

Please select the appropriate registration types below. You'll note that registration fees have been increased to keep up with rising costs.

There is not a separate registration category or fee for "Guests", nor do you even have to be a member of MSTA to participate. All attendees/participants must complete the same registration form and pay the same registration fee. The only exception to this is Life, Senior Life, and Sustaining members and their spouses, who receive a 10% discount on their registration fee. As always, your registration includes your meal at the closing banquet on Wednesday night.

NOTE: Vouchers that have been received as a result of joining or renewing your membership are only good for MSTA regional events, as stated on the face of the voucher. They can NOT be used for STAR registration.

You can register more than one person at a time (Member, Member of Household, or Non-Member). If your companion is not a member of MSTA, be sure to answer "No" to the question about MSTA membership on their registration. Remember, MSTA membership is NOT required to attend STAR!

Instructions regarding how to actually book your room and get the MSTA rate will be provided in your confirmation email. All rooms at the Holiday Inn in Springdale, with the Hampton Inn & Suites as a backup, are $129 per night (not including taxes) and are good for the nights of October 15-21. These rates include a daily hot buffet breakfast served at the Holiday Inn. Those staying at the Hampton will receive vouchers for getting breakfast at the Holiday Inn. There is also plenty of complimentary parking.

As mentioned above, the registration types are the same as our last event (STAR 2025 in Williamsport, PA). Anyone (member of the MSTA, spouse, significant other, non-member, whatever) may attend STAR. Member of Household is the same as a Member, so there is not a distinction with regard to STAR registration. If the main registrant is a Life, Senior Life, or Sustaining Member, the Member of that Household is also considered a Life, Senior Life, or Sustaining member.

Dates to Remember!

Please note these important cut-off dates for STAR 2026:

July 31, 2026 - Last day to take advantage of "early bird" registration. After that this discount will no longer apply.
September 18, 2026 - Last day for online registrations & purchases of other items (lunch ride tickets, raffle tickets, shirts, etc.). After that you will only be able to register & make purchases onsite at STAR.
September 30, 2026 - Postmark deadline for raffle tickets ordered via mail. After that any ticket orders received will have their checks either returned or destroyed depending on the person's preference. This will also be the last day you can cancel your STAR registration and get a refund (minus any raffle tickets purchased).

Volunteers Needed!

Our club would not function (or even exist!) without the help of volunteers. If you're interested in volunteering during the rally (registration, door prize room, welcoming riders, bike wash, etc.), please visit the STAR section of our MSTA website at www.ridemsta.com or the STAR 2026 website.

Lunch Ride

While the closing banquet on Wednesday evening is included in your cost of registration, the purchase of a separate ticket ($20) is required for the lunch ride meal on Tuesday. You can purchase this as part of your online registration, and a limited number will be available for sale on-site.

Everyone who purchases a lunch ride ticket as part of their online registration is guaranteed a meal. We need to give the lunch vendor a head count about 30 days in advance, so the ability to purchase lunch tickets online will end on September 18 (the same day that online registration ends). At that point we will add 25% to that number for the total count to be given to the vendor. For example, if 100 people purchase lunch tickets online by September 18, we will give the caterer a head count of 125. Once those extra tickets are sold at the rally we will not sell any more!

This year's lunch will be on Tuesday October 20th at Flat Creek Restaurant, 7847 MO-173, Cape Fair, MO 65624 and will be served from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Flat Creek offers an excellent catfish & chicken buffet with fries, coleslaw, hushpuppies, & cornbread with coffee, tea, & soda. Gratuity is included. Other items are available at the restaurant, but your lunch ticket is only good for what they will be serving our MSTA group. If you choose to order something else you will have to pay for that out of your own pocket.

Closing Banquet

The closing banquet will be on Wednesday night the 21st and, as indicated above, the meal is included in your registration.

For those with special dietary preferences, we will be working with the hotel to offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options for the banquet. This choice can be made as part of your registration, and we encourage you to do so if you have such a need. If you wait until the time of the banquet to request a special meal we will do what we can, but we cannot guarantee the hotel will be able to accommodate your request at the last minute.

Door Prizes

We are hoping to have many door prizes at STAR, which will be awarded by drawing wrist band numbers and posting the winners on an easel in the lobby. To win a door prize you must be registered for STAR and be present at the banquet. The numbered wrist bands will be provided when you check in for the rally.

Raffle Tickets

The 2026 MSTA raffle drawing will be held at the closing banquet as well, and this year you have the opportunity to win a 2025 Honda Hornet 750! If you buy your tickets online as part of your registration (by September 18!), they are available in 5-ticket lots for $40 per lot. Individual tickets will still be sold but can only be purchased for $10 per ticket. After September 18 raffle tickets will only be available onsite at STAR for $10 per ticket.

As always, to be eligible to win the raffle you must be a member in good standing of MSTA, but you do NOT have to be present at STAR.

Raffle tickets may be purchased in the "Additional Items" section on the next page (along with lunch tickets, T-shirts, etc.) if you want to use this option rather than having to go to a separate web page.

If you don't want to register and just want to buy raffle tickets, click this link, which can be used any time through September 18, 2025 to purchase tickets at the same prices mentioned above. After that date raffle tickets will only be available at STAR for $10 per ticket.

If you register and want to purchase additional raffle tickets later, this same link will be in your confirmation.

NOTE: All raffle ticket purchases are non-refundable, regardless of how, when, or where they're purchased. So even if you cancel your STAR registration early enough to receive a refund (by September 30!), your refund will include all registration fees and additional items you bought MINUS any raffle ticket purchases.

In addition, each MSTA household will receive an order form in the mail that allows you to purchase tickets. Just follow the instructions on the form and send it in with your check.

The raffle winner is responsible for all applicable local, state, and federal taxes and fees, and it is the winner's responsibility to make arrangements for getting the raffle bike home.
