  • Describe the key components and purpose of the Delaware Paid Leave Program and the LaborFirst system, including claims processing and certification workflows.
  • Explain the Certification of Serious Health Conditions process required for Medical Leave and Family Caregiver Leave claims and the roles of physicians, physician staff, claimants, and employers.
  • Demonstrate the steps for physicians and medical staff to register and use the LaborFirst system to complete certifications digitally, including handling claimant-provided access codes.
  • Analyze potential challenges in the certification submission process, including timelines, consequences of incomplete certifications, and the appeals process.
  • Identify available resources and support mechanisms, such as the 24/7 call center and educational materials, to assist physicians and practice managers in navigating the Delaware Paid Leave claim system.
