This session is recommended for Physicians and Practice Management office staff.
Describe the key components and purpose of the Delaware Paid Leave Program and the LaborFirst system, including claims processing and certification workflows.
Explain the Certification of Serious Health Conditions process required for Medical Leave and Family Caregiver Leave claims and the roles of physicians, physician staff, claimants, and employers.
Demonstrate the steps for physicians and medical staff to register and use the LaborFirst system to complete certifications digitally, including handling claimant-provided access codes.
Analyze potential challenges in the certification submission process, including timelines, consequences of incomplete certifications, and the appeals process.
Identify available resources and support mechanisms, such as the 24/7 call center and educational materials, to assist physicians and practice managers in navigating the Delaware Paid Leave claim system.
