Armed Guard Course Requirements
Important Notes:
This course does not teach you how to shoot. You must already have basic pistol shooting skills.
If you’ve never fired a weapon or are unsure of your shooting abilities, consider enrolling in our Basic Pistol for Beginners Course or call us at 602-863-1022 x2 (Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM) to discuss your options.
Before enrolling in the Armed Guard Card course, you must have already completed an Unarmed Guard Course or hold an Unarmed Guard Card. Do not enroll if you have not completed the Unarmed Guard Class or obtained the Unarmed Guard Card.

$25.00 Range Fee Paid in CASH on the Range Day
Firearm Requirements:
A standard duty-type firearm is required:
Semi-Automatic Pistol (Full-Frame, 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP)
Full-Frame Revolver (.38 or .357)
Concealed Carry firearms and .22 or .380 calibers are not suitable for this course or for carrying as an Armed Security Officer.

Course Requirements to Pass:
You will need to pass:
A Written Examination
A Weapons Qualification Course (Minimum score of 70%)
If you fail either the Written Exam or the Weapons Qualification, you will not pass the course, and no refunds will be issued.
TRAINING DAYS:
This is an In-person training held monthly on a
Monday from 8 AM - 7 PM at our Glendale, Arizona Training Facility
and
Tuesday from 8 AM - 4 PM at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility You MUST attend BOTH Training Days.

NO LESS THAN 200 ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION FOR THE WEAPON YOU INTEND TO QUALIFY WITH.

OUTSIDE THE WAIST HOLSTER FOR WEAPON
HOLSTER MUST BE A BELT WORN HOLSTER
NO INSIDE THE WAIST HOLSTERS
IF YOU COME TO THE RANGE WITH AN IMPROPER HOLSTER YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO QUALIFY AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED TO THE NEXT AVAILABLE RANGE DAY.

You will receive reminder emails about one (1) week out prior to your First Training Day.
If you have any questions, please call us Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm at 602-863-1022 ext. 2 prior to your scheduled Training Day.
If you are in need of a firearm we do have a limited supply of rentals, please call 602-863-1022 EXT. 2 Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm to reserve a firearm rental.
Rental Firearms MUST be reserved and paid for no later than the day prior to your Range Day.
If you have not paid for and reserved a Rental Firearm in advance of the Range Day you will not have a Firearm available for use at the Range.
