Due to COVID-19, we felt it was best to cancel the 2020 Reader Weekend in Rhode Island. We will miss behing in RI and hope you and your family and friends are healthy and safe. The exciting news is that Reader Weekend is hitting the road! Many have requested a visit to Washington, D.C. to see the city that serves as a backdrop to the Fatal Series, and we hope you’ll join us in 2021 in D.C.!
Currently, you may register for two events and two tours for Reader Weekend. Registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited so please register as soon as you can to ensure your spot. Available events include:
$75 for the Welcome Dinner on Friday evening with music, food and drinks.
$50 for the day tour of Washington, DC Saturday from approx. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with stops at Eastern Market (Sam and Nick's neighborhood from the Fatal Series) and Georgetown. Transportation provided by motor coach. Lunch is on your own either in the Eastern Market or Georgetown neighborhoods.
$75 for the Dinner, Q&A with Marie and Book Signing on Saturday night from 6:30-9 p.m. including food, drinks and the chance to purchase books and Marie Force merchandise.
$30 for the evening tour of Washington, DC from approx. 9-11 p.m. to see some of the city's national monuments and stop at Fatal Series Sam's favorite, the Lincoln Memorial.
We’d like to continue to offer the Washington, DC bus tours, but we will require all attendees to wear masks on the buses, even if you are vaccinated. This is to protect people who are not yet vaccinated and to keep our event safe for all. This is NONNEGOTIABLE.
Any registration cancellation requests received after April 15 will receive no refund on registration.
If you are registering multiple people, make sure to create a NEW registration record. Don't complete a duplicate registration for yourself. If you need to add to or edit your current registration, please email julie@marieforce.com.
Important Hotel Information
The 2021 event will be held at the Embassy Suites in Alexandria, VA. The hotel is perfectly located one block from the Metro, just a few stops from Ronald Reagan National Airport, and in the heart of historic Old Town Alexandria. A discounted room rate of $169/night is available for a king or two doubles and room type requests are based on availability. Only attendees who have signed up and paid registration will be able to reserve rooms in the Reader Weekend room block at the Embassy Suites. Hotel information will be included in your registration confirmation.
