Embracing Neurodiversity in the Elementary Classroom POPARD Virtual Half-Day Workshop

This workshop will examine the framework of neurodiversity, highlighting that neurological differences represent natural variations within the human population rather than deficits. The session is informed by a comprehensive body of research and resources, including or led by neurodivergent individuals, along with additional literature in the field. The session will engage participants in the following key objectives:
deepening understanding of neurodiversity
gaining awareness of a range of neurodivergent conditions
recognizing the strengths associated with neurodiversity to improve communication and collaboration in the school-based setting, fostering a culture of acceptance and support.
Exploring evidence-informed strategies, tools, and resources to foster inclusive, supportive practices in school-based environments
Audience: This workshop is for employees of BC School Districts, BC First Nations Schools and BC Independent Schools.
