Course Description:

This training is directed towards law enforcement, law enforcement support staff, and county clerks.  Ideal participants include booking personnel, clerks entering information into the Justice system, and anyone involved in the maintenance of local criminal records.  Class size is limited to 40.

Criminal History Records Training consists of the following:
  • The life-cycle of criminal history records from date of arrest (fingerprint-based only) to the disposition (entering of disposition information into the Justice system)
  • The importance of filling out arrest cards completely and accurately
  • Where do arrest cards go and what happens to them after they have been sent
  • How disposition information is reported to the Nebraska State Patrol
  • Common issues the NSP-Criminal Identification Division encounters and how these issues impact the accuracy of criminal records
  • The importance of fingerprinting
  • What information is reported to the Public vs. Law Enforcement
  • What information is reported to the FBI
 
Qualifies for 1.5 Continuing Legal Education (CLE)/Continuing Education (CE)/Judicial Branch Education (JBE) hours

You may have one person for your agency submit one registration for multiple attendees by selecting the number of attendees to register below. Or, you may have each attendee register individually.
